A superb model. The engine compartment is just about perfect. That air cleaner had my eyes open a bit wider when I saw it!

Thanks everyone!

Thanks Tony.

I had that idea a few years ago when I was working on a '68 Olds 442 project.

I wanted to be able to show off those beautiful Fireball Modelworks carbs, so at the very least, I wanted a removable air cleaner.

While I was considering that, I wondered about how difficult it might be to make a "hollowed out" version with and air filter element.

Well, it turned out quite well, so I've begun incorporating it into a few models.

Takes a little extra time to make, but I've never been concerned much about time anyway. ;)

Exquisite craftsmanship! Superb results! I can hardly tell the difference between your Pontiac and the 1:1 in the other pic. You deserve a breather after this one! Have a fudge sickle and start another build! LoL ?

Mission impossible finally achieved, Steven - you raised (your own) bar again a few inches higher !

It is almost impossible to distinguish the model from the real car - absolutely incredible !

I don't have anything to add that others haven't commented on this beautiful build, the realism is unmatched. Nice to see it with an up top which I feel should be included in all convertible kits.  Wonderful build to repeat myself !

As with all of your work in the past and now this........you seem to set the bar higher each and every time you build something Steven. For a while I got stuck in kind of an assembly line approach where I just did everything the same but you've inspired me to expand my skillset with each and every new build. I truly admire you as a modeler and thank you for going the extra mile to explain your processes.
