I found  this hot rod frame in the bottom of a large box of models I bought at a swap meet around a decade ago. I put it away and just ran across it again. These are all of the parts I have. It appears to be made of cast white metal and is 1/25 or 1/24 scale. Any ideas?IMG_0235.jpeg.1e0f93f417f687994937724985d6abff.jpeg

Looks like a Mini Exotics kit. Some of the parts look just like some I have.

R&D Unique.  Long out of business.  I have a set or two in my stash.  1/25 scale.  They produced multiple versions.

I still have a few of their parts. I really like their spark plugs, for Flatheads or DOHC stuff. I have maybe enough left to do three engines. I have most of one of their 350 engines, a couple of starters, oil filters and a couple of HEI distributors. The best, though, I have one of their dropped tube axle front suspensions. I never did get one of the chassis kits, though.

Very helpful and informative guys. Thank you. I’m not exactly sure what I will end up doing with this. It seems pretty fiddly for my fat fingers and deteriorating eyesight. The crazy thing is that all of these little bits were randomly strewn through several kit  boxes and containers when I got them. I spent a fair amount of time sifting through the boxes and it took awhile for me to realize I had an almost complete chassis kit. I’ll try to mock it up but at this point i don’t even know what all the parts are. It’d be nice to have the instructions. I did find one image of an assembled kit. I’ll look more when I get some time. Might be awhile. ‘Tis the season you know. ?

Thanks again!

R & D Unique, I have the frame only that I got in trade with some other parts, it was distributed through the boxes as well almost as if the original owner was contemplating using parts from the frame here and there.

I did put it together, use a small dab of epoxy on all joints, make sure that you have everything absolutely squared up and the frame rails parallel to one another, or it will end up an unusable mess! I used a piece of cold rolled steel and magnets to get it aligned, it's fun! Certainly not a beginner project. I've never used it because I tend to do traditional Hot Rods and it's a modern version of the Deuce frame.

There's actually a brand new one on eBay US for $47.50. I added it to my favorites and the seller sent a pretty reasonable offer of $42.75. Shipping to me is about  $15.00. I just don't need another one.
