Modelcitizen Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 (edited) AMT 1968 Chevelle body mounted on a modified stocker chassis, with scratch built interior and roll cage. Rubber padding on roll cage is insulation from a coax cable. The window netting is hand-made from masking tape. The front and rear bars are scratch built from styrene tubing. Aftermarket "Hoosier" lettering on the tires. The dents were made by heating the body from the inside with a soldering iron, then pressing into the softened plastic with a hobby knife handle. The clay is actual yard clay, sifted to a fine powder, mixed with white glue and spattered from a toothbrush. The second picture has a background added with photoshop. tim08 Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) Love it! Besides, my middle name is Earl, I'll be stopping in for a sandwich! That second photo is very convincing. Nice job on this. Edited December 28, 2023 by Tim08 1

TarheelRick Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Super looking old war horse. You can tell she has run a few laps. Very nice work on the mud details and the overall build. 1

I only had room, as well as transfer lettering, to shorten it to Earl's. If you're ever in Orangeburg, SC, I'll buy you a sandwich!?
Yeah Nah Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Very impressive 'used' look on this Ed. Top quality!
