Very minor update on the GTX… parts cleaned up with some primered and others painted giving clues to some color choices.

Minor update??  You are gonna finish before Spring?

Patience never being something I possess, I couldn't wait for my main model to show up before starting the engine.

Hopefully the svt engine will slide right in to the 66 without issue.

The wheel faerie paid me a visit today and left me some options to choose from, 18" Ponies or 20" 2000s stock style. I'm leaning toward the 2000s wheels, the Ponies have a bit too much tire but would be perfect on a 1/24 kit.

Another vote for the '20s.  I think they fit the restomod theme better and look a little more aggressive.

Well, that's the plan. I know myself well enough to know that if I don't finish by spring I'll never return to it in the fall.

It's amazing what a 20-minute spray can session can do to boost a project's progress.

Makes sense.  If I was able to actually maintain focus on one project I might not have 5 different ones in various stages of completion.

I believe on a 1:1 swap you have to move the shock towers due to the width of the mod motors. Its been a few years since i looked into a swap on a real car.

That would make sense.  I just remembered I have a 67 I have sitting around just waiting for primer.  Will test fit on that.  Thanks for the heads up on what to look for.

I was laying in bed thinking about this last night.

There's something I've been wanting to build for a few years now and even gathered the parts and decals for it so , if it's OK, I'd like to switch my entry to my , , ,

'74 Trans Am street racer.

I do plan to pull the wheel openings slightly ALA  the '71/'71 Chaparral Camaro Trans Am cars. BUT, this is intended to be primarily a street car that could be used at the track on the weekend if the opportunity presented.

Continuing on with my Monogram era builds, and another I've never built before, I'm going to go with the 64 1/2 Mustang.

I have no idea what I want to do with it yet.

The kit is curbside, but I'm planning on adding the 13B rotary from the third generation RX7 (FD).

I’ve got the Lamborghini Jota from that series.  Haven’t built it, but it looks pretty cool.

My LHS bought an old collection and there were several of this kit and the Ferrari 308 from the same series, but none of the others. I grabbed 1 of each.

Woo hoo it's gonna be Mustang party!!

Lots of awesome builds this year.

I build a Mustang every year, it's a little extra challenge I give myself that I enjoy. This is my sixth year doing it.

Only my third year and first with a mustang, but that is only because that is primarily what I build.  This will be my first coupe though.

I love seeing what everybody does with the mustangs as it gives me lots of ideas for future projects.

Wow, everyone is off to a great start. My first cannonball build was the 66 Chevelle wagon. With a LS swap. Did it as a sleeper even built a baby seat for the back seat.  Got ridiculed at a contest about it. Because I entered it in the race class. Wish I could find the model but its disappeared.

Still trying to figure out my build. Have to check my stash of kits.
