Finks Garage
I've had this image in my head for some time to do a '32 Phaeton based off the Revell 32 kit. I always thought the Monogram '30 Touring would be a good rear section starting point, and the front cowl and tub from the Phantom Vickie for the front part of the body. Lee Owens was kind enough to give me the body parts from a Phantom Vickie kit I needed, and I sourced my box of rebuilders for an old Monogram Early Iron 30 Touring. Some slicing and dicing and a coat of primer, and it's a good start to a custom creation. This is NOT going to be a stock appearing car so some liberties are going to be taken to make it a total custom.

Finks Garage
I want to build several '32 Fords this year and all different than the bodies that come in the kits. I have ordered a few from Ed at Drag City and waiting for them to come in. I had purchased the B400 from Flinstone. It arrived and was less than what I thought I was going to get. Warped, to wide and very thick. It wasn't really usable at all for a full fendered build. BUT....I was able to cut the cloth roof off and start to rework it for this project, so I guess not all is lost! A little more work and this might just fit and look good on here!

Finks Garage
Got a little time at the bench tonight. I reworked the front of the up top to mate better with the windshield frame. And still working on back side bottom contour to mate up with the body. Also sanded the first coat of primer on the body. Will let sit for a few days and then hit it with another coat and sand again. Thanks for all the feedback. Much appreciated! Edited February 1 by Finks Garage

Mr. Metallic
Looking good. Brookville actually made a limited edition 1:1 body recently, very similar to yours. Not sure if there has been any finished yet but I saw the display body in bare metal and it's a stunner.
