When I see the pics of this model I get a bit emotional...I gave it to a dear old friend of mine and ex work colleague and a month later he passed.

He had been on and on that he wanted this model ...I don't sell my models so I was a bit reluctant ....but due to the fact that I was seeing him ebb away and getting weaker

by the day I gave it to him and seeing his  happy face was one of my treasured moments in in my life .

I am sorry about writing all this  but I had to because this is a model with a story which I hold very dear  ..

My condolences on the loss of your friend. The finishes on this build are all great and realistic looking. What a great way to show your appreciation of this person.

Like all of your builds Louis, this one is exceptional. It's even more exceptional because of the back story and your friend's happiness. Thanks for sharing something so personal.

Without taking any merit away from the gorgeous build, the associated back story really makes it ultra special.

Thanks,
Ismael

Truly beautiful and meaningful. Great details and craftsmanship. Sometimes , models are not just models, a lot of the models I build have a strong connection to my childhood and people I knew that are no longer here.
