I started this one a while back and stopped on the build.  Just couldn't get motivated on it but it's back up on the bench with a second chance.  The business end is getting a Blown Ford 429 engine from the Iceman.  I'm using the chassis from the AMT 66 Nova Pro Street kit.  I had to modify the front suspension and the rear of the chassis.  Shock towers have been cut off mid way down to except this Big ole honkin engine.

Ooo, ah. That looks like a very awesome project. The 429 is a great engine choice.

Thanks.  Yup, the 429 looks right at home in the business end.

Saw your YouTube video post. Can’t wait to see you finish this one. And not just because I am bias to the mustang.

Kar Kraft that did the factory install on the Boss 429s, with wider engine bay, cut even more of the shock towers. You’ve got the right idea. If I remember right the original 1965 Mustang SOHC camers removed the shock tower entirely and went with a different front suspension setup.

Thanks man.  I do appreciate it.  I think I've got that Big ole blown 429 shoehorned in there.

Thanks Jim.  Wouldn't look good without that BIG ole blown 429 up front.

The Boss 429 wasn't a SOHC engine...'standard' OHV but with semi-hemispherical combustion chambers.  The SOHC 429 was wayyyyyyyy wide.

I got a little bench time this morning so I got the engine parts all painted, chassis & tires have been painted as well.  I have the body prepped but I didn't see much at all to clean up so I know I much have missed something.  I still need to cut the hole in the hood but I'm now have to wait til the engine parts a cured out.  I forgot to do this before hand.

Oh yeah Bob, that is going to be cool.

Thanks James.  Initially I couldn't get into this build and put in on the back of the bench.  Since I drug it back out It's starting to really get my attention.

Great looking engine and rolling stock. I think Ford could only use mechanics with skinny hands to work on the 1:1. Are you going to remove the "TMGM" lettering from the chassis?
