cifenet Posted February 12 Posted February 12 My my.. Speechless. So my question is... how sensitive is the brake pedal and do you need to press deep to bite the brake hard?
Randy D Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 Thanks Steve, Having trouble keeping pressure up🤣 More concerned when I mocked up the clutch on those last couple of pics. Not sure how the linkage will line up to the tranny. Might have to shift over. Will know more when I line the cab floor up with the motor/trany. Randy
BK9300 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 (edited) Fascinating work, Randy! Wouldn’t say your progress is slow at all - each component or ‘segment’ of your build so far (motor, cab) could stand on their own as separate model displays - tremendous detail to marvel at! (And a tease with a partial peek at your control monitor mast and wiring, too). Edited February 12 by BK9300
Randy D Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 Thank you Brian for the comments! Working on more details in the cab.... ref. pics... Making up the mast. Turned a top and base, soldered up the arm.. Soldered up a box to hold some toggle switches... Top Studio provides the switches... Making up a monitor..... Most of this subject to change and additions. Will finalize layout when I build up the seat and more of the interior.. Thanks for looking in. Randy 3
BK9300 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Beautiful work, Randy - might almost expect the monitor to light up - very fine (tiny as well as excellent) work being done here!
AmericanMuscleFan Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Keep it up and the Martians will come get you Randy!🛸 We never tire of your feats of strength, you have talent to spare as they say! I have to stop scratching my head, I won't have any more hair... 😁
cifenet Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Very addicting to watch the progress! Beautiful construction work~
Muncie Posted February 18 Posted February 18 so, did you build the giant pair of tweezers? I'm looking at that and can't tell the difference between the truck and the model... I keep having to do a brain check to figure out which is which.
TarheelRick Posted February 18 Posted February 18 As the others have said, this is a piece of fine art. After looking at the pictures of the 1:1 cab area, I am wondering if you are going to model the cobweb running from the monitor to the base. Just kidding, I am truly amazed at the detail you are putting into this build.
Sergey Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Thank you, Randy to sharing us your outstanding project! It's so global and almost every part is made of steel. It makes me thing: 'How much effort (time, power and nerves) should it take!" You are very patient and skilled person! Make me your disciple! 😌
Rockford Posted February 21 Posted February 21 This is amazing stuff. I can't believe the quality of builds like this. Brilliant.
