If you thought that a Pontiac Aztec is ugly what about the 1977 Leata Cabalero. The car was manufactured by Stinebaugh Manufacturing Company in Post Falls, Idaho. Don E. Stinebaugh had come up with the idea of converting Chevrolet Chevettes into small luxury cars. To do this, he formed special body parts, again from fiberglass. The Leata Cabalero (written with only one "l") was modeled on much larger personal luxury cars, but from the front it was also reminiscent of the first generation Toyota Cressida. Again there was a coupe and a pick-up. For the latter he built a frame to give the Chevette's self-supporting body the necessary rigidity. The Cabalero, presented in 1977, was much easier to build than its predecessor. Around a hundred examples were produced, but none of them made any money.

Not going to pm 'cause I cheated.  Google lens is wonderful.  I thought I had seen this little abomination.  I lived nearby the "Factory".  It was so ugly I choose to forget about it!

I'm with Pete. Don't really want to know what it is but a twinge of morbid curiosity is calling me to "cheat" to find it.  ;)
