rv1963 Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Did this a long time ago, really fun build. I wanted a car that was very used and abused but still on the street as a daily driver. All comments welcome. 13 1
Hodrodz Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Really like the look, I gotta learn how to weather.
thatz4u Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I've seen a few of those on the interstate...& give them plenty of room.. 1
DJMar Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 From the weathering, to the mismatched wheels, to the DD box on the front seat...I swear this was parked in my college student lot circa 1987.??
espo Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 As the saying goes " Looks like it has been ridden hard and put away wet". A term usually referring to a horse though. Realistic looking body damage and rust. May have even been a PD car at one time?
rv1963 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 Thanks guys, could have been a retired PD car it does have a box of donuts on the front seat, Lol. 1
DL1099 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Great job. My hats off to anyone that can make plastic look like rusted metal like you did!
STU111 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Love the realistic rust. Something I’m still learning to do. Sometimes I think it’s harder to do a beat up vehicle than a show car.
ncbuckeye67 Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Excellent weathering, on a great looking build. Very realistic.
XYHARRY Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Nice weathering and damage detail, well done Robert. Cheers, David. ??
Speedpro Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 So did you have a 1:1 that this was based on. If not, that's some excellent creativity right there! Very nice!
rv1963 Posted August 3, 2024 Author Posted August 3, 2024 Thanks Scott, thanks Paul, no 1 to 1 just came from my warped little mind, lol. Thanks to everybody who commented on this build, since it has received over 500 views I am going to do Wip starting soon showing what and how I do my street beaters cars should be a fun build.
