Dave B Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 This is my take on the Alan Mann Racing F3L/P68. I've built it as the version driven by Frank Gardner that blitzed the field in qualifying for the Spa round of the 1968 World Sportscar Championship. Frank put it on pole 5 seconds faster than the next quickest qualifier. In the race it rained and only lasted 1 lap before the electrics failed. What this car could have achieved with more input from Ford we will never know. Built from a 3D file and heavily modified to reflect the actual car. Finished in auto acrylic plain red and a nice bright gold, clear coated and polished. The decals are a combination of my spares, Patto's and my mate Phil, who also printed the body. Tks for looking Dave B 5
1959scudetto Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 A masterpiece, Dave - this is one of the most spectacular racecars ever, and you turned this 3D printed body into an excellent model ! Congratulations !!! (I would already be happy if mine turned out half as nice) 1
Pierre Rivard Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Wow Dave, such a beautiful race car and your rendition of it is incredible. You have again turned this printed body into a masterpiece with paint that still looks wet and formidable looking wheels. I love it! 1
