Another beauty Claude! You did to the Buick what Chip Foose did to the Impala with his Impostor. If he sees your build, he is totally liable to copy it 1:1 :)

Yes yes yes, those JOHAN kits !
Wonderful build that really takes care of the shape of the car.

Thanks Ulf!

Yes, those JOHAN kits! I hesitated to strip and mold the bumpers in a mono-chrome manner, but sanity prevailed: after all, it was the 70's, and chrome was still a feature of luxury cars!

Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The chassis conversion looks like an OEM level design that should have been originally.  The custom interior looks great and well detailed. The wheels really work well on this.

Thanks David!

The paint gave me major problems, all of my fault. 10 days before the pics, the finish looked like a dry raisin. I needed all my resolve to "save" it instead of just stripping it and starting again. I'd say it's a 7.5 out of 10.

Oh well...

CT, that is absolutely the best Johan 70 Toronado kit that I have ever seen in my many decades...extremely well done....to quote a Ringo Starr song" What goes on in your mind? "

Thanks Al!

To your question: "strange things, strange things" I suppose...

Well, it is a great design to start from, isn't-it?

CT

I agree, it is a great design and you made it better.

Claude your paint jobs are what I try to copy. I look up to your builds and standards of models. Actually I’m a new guy compared to most here in the forum. Still learning. I wish I had the imagination of your builds and to me your the chip foose of models. One day I would like to make my own car design and model it. But I still have a lot to learn so it will not be anytime soon. Great job and I  will be looking for the next CT design.

Your builds never cease to amaze me - absolutely stunning!

Thank you John!

I follow my taste of the moment, but finding the Toro ( a Johan kit) kind of requested I dive right in!
