The single exhaust in the kit wasn’t really going to cut it, so I rummaged through the parts box and cobbled this together. The passenger side is yet to be installed.IMG_2206.jpeg.2126b5fcb4ee39594a5e6f1091efccdc.jpegPainted the underside of the tray. Tried to replicate wood grain. Not too sure about it but it’ll pass.

Body parts have been given 3 coats of Tamiya TS-13 clear. Going to give it a couple more weeks to harden up a bit then I’ll start the process of polishing it up. I’m enjoying this one, custom builds give a lot more freedom to use your imagination. I can see a lot more custom builds in my future.??

Really wasn’t happy with the exhaust, couldn’t get the two sides symmetrical, so I’ve started again. I’ve drilled into the mufflers and inserted styrene rod. I’ve got some metal tube that will slide over the styrene rod and form the rear part of the exhaust. It’ll still exit to the side but should be neater and easier to get symmetrical.IMG_2211.jpeg.eececac3d910432e3b8d0b588c65297a.jpegIMG_2212.jpeg.70e40cc7fb88a73f5e7c3002794bcc5d.jpeg

I’m a bit happier with this twin exhaust set up. Got all parts painted and ready, just giving the body parts a bit more time before I polish them out. On the home stretch now.??IMG_2216.jpeg.625352172908a5d2a9ae2d4f1d2606a4.jpeg

Got a lot of opportunity lately to get some modelling done and apart from some touch ups, I’m calling this truck done. Thanks to you guys who checked in and those who gave advice on the kit issues . ?? I’ll put some photos up on the under glass section.  Now, on to a 32 Ford 5 window. IMG_2219.jpeg.cc62c7ee54f4a2498a568b4ffecf913d.jpegIMG_2220.jpeg.95971c22026112ed5594d845f28eef49.jpeg

Gorgeous truck Stuart!  A nice clean build all round. Wheel/tire choice, and stance are spot on! I really like the Tamiya metallic orange, my current build is going to be the same colour.
