Looking great.

Much obliged there Ken. I'm liking the looks so far.  I think once I get the decals on it will really come to life.

I tried something a little different this time for the hose clamps.  I normally just wrap a narrow piece of bmf around the hose at the top and bottom.  This time I wrapped a piece of wire around the hose.  I think I like the wire a little better.

I'm with ya Roger.  I could have made the bottom side with the twist a little cleaner but it doesn't show all that much.  I'll do better next time.

The chrome and hose clamps look great Bob!

If I may ask, what do you use for re-chroming?

David G.

Thanks David.  I take the liquid chrome out of a Molotow pen and shoot it through my airbrush.

Thanks Bob, I have Molotow paint but have yet to airbrush it. Does it dry quicker when shot through an airbrush?

Not really.  It likes to go on wet with only one pass if possible.  I set my air pressure at 20 psi.  Even after a few day it does not like to be touched.

Thanks again Bob. It looks like the only benefit of using the AB is the smoothness of the coat. I can get that with a brush... most times. And a brush is a little easier to clean when I'm done.

I just don't use an airbrush often enough to be very good at it.

I hear ya David.  I'm just the opposite when it comes to an airbrush vs a brush.  We all have to do what works best for us.

Outstanding build.

Got one on my shelf of doom. Been trying to replicate this one I found on the net.

1957 Ford Gasser.jpg

Thanks man.  Yeah, I found that one when I was looking at pics for the stance I was going for.  Well pull it down off the shelf and get started.  That would make a nice build.

Well, I pulled it out. Was surprised how far along I was. Just need paint on the body. Really liking your metallic orange, will probably go with that. Will post a pic on WIP mockup. Thanks for the inspiration.

You bet man.  I'll be watching for it.

Well...the 57 Ford Sedan Gasser is finished as far as the build goes.  Just waiting on the decals to come in so I can finish it out.
