dougwintz Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 I was trying to put this in the right category. Is a truck with a race car on it? Or a race car being carried by a truck? Whatever! This is the AMT 1966 Dodge L700. I'm assuming its an old mold because the fitment and instructions are pretty sketchy. I only did some minor modifications. I put down some scale tread plate on the bed and used Revell's chrome over flat black. Same paint treatment on the wheels. The side mirrors are from my spare parts box, as I did not like the kit mirrors. Aftermarket decals for the seat fabric. The only thing I would add would are taillights for the truck bed. The Little Red Wagon has a set of aluminum velocity stacks and gas canister. 10
ncbuckeye67 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Nicely done! Your paint work and added detailing look amazing.
espo Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 The L700 Flatbed looks great and cleanly done. Like the way the bed and ramps look. The Little Red Wagon is really well detailed looking.
XYHARRY Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Nice display of the Dodge brand there Doug, really well done. Cheers, David. ??
Zippi Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 Very kewl build there Doug. I remember watching the Little Red Wagon run at the drag strip. The Dodge on Dodge is a show piece.
bbowser Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Very cool! Neither of these kits are easy builds, you did a great job on both.
TarheelRick Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Really like this build, some excellent scratchbuilding/craftsmanship. Good job building two mediocre kits.
stavanzer Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Excellent Build on Both kits! Neither is an easy build, and you make it look easy! Good Show.
dougwintz Posted November 25, 2024 Author Posted November 25, 2024 Thanks, Alan. And everyone for the positive comments.
