the60falcon Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 I was super into redline era Hot Wheels for a while, at one point I had over 700. Store display Camaros, employee owned cars, pretty ridiculous. But I always loved the Custom Eldorado, so when I got this kit I knew what I had to do. I repaired a broken tail lamp area as is very common on these, added a quick vinyl top and some of the custom parts for the front end. I also moved the distributor to the correct location for a 69 472 Caddy and did some interior and engine detail, as well as more foil than I enjoyed doing ? Nothin too crazy. I used NOS Steven's international redline tires I had laying around to complete the look. Color is Mr Color metallic bloody red. 15
Chinacar Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Excellent job Cody! I love your work on the vinyl roof, great detail. I bought a jar of this paint to do an old Falcon, nice to see roughly how it's going to look on a car 1

Falcon Ranchero Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 That's extremely nice; seen a '68 Johan Eldo kit at our local vintage shop; really wanted to get one but it's $300. Did a good job on yours. like the reds ? 1
DoctorLarry Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Very clean-did you use texture paint for the roof? 1

Radretireddad Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Wouldn’t this original Hot Wheels concept make a great theme for a build off?
