59 Impala Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 I've had this body for many years and finally got the parts that was needed to put it together. I don't have an engine, but that's ok. Here are some pics of how it turned out. I didn't paint the body. This is how I got it. It is a beater fer sure. 13
Jim B Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Well, that one's seen better days, hasn't it? Nicely done.
ncbuckeye67 Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 That's pretty sweet! I've acquired a couple of built ups too, that I did nothing with because they already had a weathered look.
espo Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Great looking beater. Wonder if they could use that in the next Eddy Murphy movie? 1
59 Impala Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 Thanks everyone for the kind words. I really enjoyed rebuilding this. Stuff like this keeps the "ol noggin working.
Bills72sj Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 A Winter beater. Way cool. Snow tires are a nice touch. 1
slusher Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Very nice beater! That would look good on a trailer behind or in a diorama!
Old Buckaroo Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Its nice to see models that resemble real daily drivers ! Ive got a complete unassembled small bock engine for this kit if you want it. I rarely use the small block chevy engines in my projects.
59 Impala Posted December 25, 2024 Author Posted December 25, 2024 Thanks Sean, but I really didn't want to use an engine. I do have one of the engine's that came with an engine stand that I'm going to pose with the car like the engine is being rebuilt.
