I scanned a bunch of old photos of my first car, a ‘72 Chevelle SS my dad and I fixed up, and uploaded them to https://www.nixplay.com/ so they show up on the frame in my garage. It’s cool seeing it loop through my high school ride next to all the other cars I’ve had over the years. Keeps the memories fresh while I’m tinkering with my current project.

Rambler Station Wagon, before my time.

Lincoln that my dad had for only a short time. Even new, he thought the gas mileage was insane and quickly got rid of it.

64.5 Mustang, my mom said it was the first sold in Portland, I remember the story being it was the second. Anyway, my dad was friends with the dealer and got it early.

I came home in that car. When my dad died in 1980, he had spent the previous year looking for one again. He regretted selling it in 1969. He said then it was just another used car.

In 1979 when he was looking, he'd say they want HOW MUCH? F or 65-66 Mustangs that were pretty rough.

Yep, that was them! They were kind of a faux wire wheel that looked a Lot better without the spokes......

They sell those same wheels as "rat rod" wheels now.  They are semi-gloss black instead of chrome, and don't have the wire baskets.  You're supposed to paint/pinstripe them to individualize them.

Love this Original Topic!  I could hijack this thread, but I better not. 😅  I'm fortunate that I had family who could take pictures, back when you debated about taking every shot, did you wind to the next frame, that fun stuff.
Dad's father had this '57 Chevy from new, I sort of remember taking a few drives.  He had sandpaper glued to the tunnel to light wood matches for the cigarettes.  Just when I got to driving age, he traded it for a "Chevy" LUV pickup, which I inherited with slipping clutch and monthly breakdowns.  I don't care how well you built that LUV model, I won't look. 😆

My dorkiest stage in life, survived with no seat belts, no a/c (were in Phoenix when it hit 122º), no ABS brakes, no electric windows, no girlfriend.....

The snotnosed brat is me.  Dad restored most (not interior) of this Mercedes Benz 170V Roadster.  He said never again, but what am I doing? 🙄

This is a stretch, just before I was born they had VW Beetles (this is the first one that mom rolled when pregnant with me), dad worked at Zion N. P. but was soon transferred to GCNP.  He took even more spectacular shots, but I'll step out for a smoke.

Killer looking '57 150 wagon. Looks like it was a 6 cylinder by the hood trim.

Some old pics of cars and SUVs I had in the past...first, from 1990 at the family farm in Ohio--my '87 Mustang GT (still have today) and my '86 Mustang LX (my college car).  I turned 20 that summer.

2nd pic, my '88 Ford Bronco II at a company I worked at in Colorado Springs, 1999.

3rd pic, my '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Colorado Springs in 2000--replaced the Bronco iI, bought for my 30th birthday.

I have older pics, but not digitized..old print pics.

Me from 1977, junior in high school when I had hair……..and a 1973 F-100. Drove that thing everywhere. While not mine, the 1969 AMX was my wife’s high school car. We drove it to the races, going out to eat, etc. Yes, my shirt has Connie on it. She had one with Steve on it. That was popular around here back then.

The beginning of the dark side for me , 67 RS SS 350 Camaro getting a big block installed without even a shade tree. Man I thought I was somebody with that big box of "Proto" tools back then.  this was back in 1983 one year after I graduated.

Crummy picture but it is over 50 years old and the only one I have. It was a small block 300hp with 4 speed 1967. Not bad for a 24 year old kid. By the way, that was in 1968.
