New restoration of a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix Superfly. This is a vintage 1/25 scale MPC kit. The previous builder had turned the car into a Bigfoot tow truck. I repainted the car because the previous builder's paint job was ruined by glue stains, dirt, and scratches. The new paint is DupliColor Redfire Pearl Metallic with a cream vinyl top finished with 2K clear coat. I lowered the car to factory height and sourced genuine Pontiac Rally II wheels. Recreated the missing deck lid from scratch and installed spotlights from another kit. The Zebra skin interior was redone with permanent marker to make it look more realistic.

Live grand and celebrate the beginning of the Malaise Era with this glamorous ride! The big question is will you dress like Liberace or Huggy Bear?

Really nice. Great save. Looks like itwas apretty well detailed kit. I watched this movie a few months ago. Looks spot on to me. I'm planning on using duplicolor dark garnet red metallic on an up coming build. What primer did you use?

Cool! I can't think of the last time I saw one of these built. Great save. The zebra interior completes it. Nicely done.
