bobss396 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 An unseasonably cool 53 F. I may have to wear pants when I go to town.
iamsuperdan Posted August 28 Posted August 28 We're on day three of a heat wave. Temps over 30 degrees C (86 F). No sign of rain, and it's supposed to last until Sunday. Averaging almost 10 degrees hotter than normal. Could get interesting, as this weekend is a long weekend and EVERYONE will be out camping. Early September could be big for wildfires.

John M. Posted August 29 Posted August 29 A thunderstorm is moving through Boston now. According to the doppler radar on my favorite local newscast, it's a fairly nasty one.
bobss396 Posted August 30 Posted August 30 55 F and it did finally rain on Thursday night. Pool is cooling off, it was 73 yesterday.
slusher Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Cool morning the other day 52 degrees set a record low And 90 daytime highs..
89AKurt Posted September 4 Posted September 4 The radio prediction was 50% chance. I had stopped working in the yard, in the time I took a shower it dropped 0.6"! It's been spotty still, never an overall rain, just like that picture shows a storm cell ... over there. 1
Russell C Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Nice drizzle happening at the 10pm hour, 79°F, great on & off lightning show. Single frame screengrab from my smartphone. Back in the 1980s I wasted a hole roll of 35mm film trying to get a lightning stroke, never succeeded at all. 3
bobss396 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 SOSDD here on the Island. 56 F and less humid, rain predicted for tonight. Me & the girlfriend are going to have breakfast on the beach around 10. It will be warmer by then. I picked up some seeds yesterday, lettuce, broccoli and cilantro. I have to till one of my smaller plots either later or tomorrow.
89AKurt Posted September 6 Posted September 6 I've seen some forecasts for lots of rain, but it's still hit or miss. This is "the field", looking north going back home. Heard thunder earlier. Drove to Chino Valley this evening, camera focused on the movement of the tree bobble. It's so green now! 2
bobss396 Posted September 6 Posted September 6 73 F, 99% humidity and looks like rain. I got some gardening done. Planted cabbage and broccoli seeds. The pool is or was up to 76 yesterday.
Andria H Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Balmy 75 degrees, breezy, humid, a touch smoggy from the Big Hole Fire, Emigrant Fire and other conflagrations in Southern Oregon & surrounding areas, but quite nice compared to the searing heat and sun earlier. Nice enough to open windows. 1
bobss396 Posted September 7 Posted September 7 60 F, RH is 95% and it has been raining since 5 PM yesterday. Heavy at times with thunder off and on.
John M. Posted September 7 Posted September 7 (edited) Some nasty boomers came through Boston last night and dropped about an inch and a half then stopped. It started to rain steadily about an hour ago and another half an inch or so is expected but it'll be much cooler. It's been dry for a while so we could use the water anyhow. Brian Austin Posted Sunday at 09:53 PM Posted Sunday at 09:53 PM Apparently there were small tornadoes in the Worcester area 1

bobss396 Posted Monday at 01:19 PM Posted Monday at 01:19 PM 52 F, lower humidity. I guess we got at least 1.5" of rain. It did rain most of Sunday.
Rob Hall Posted Monday at 01:29 PM Posted Monday at 01:29 PM (edited) 47F this morning when I rolled out the trash bins. Feeling like fall..a little chilly for shorts and flip flops. Went to a couple local beaches yesterday, 65 and sunny but breezy. Edited Monday at 01:31 PM by Rob Hall 1
89AKurt Posted Tuesday at 06:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:54 PM Before sunrise I saw 61ºF on the phone. The prediction for lots of rain fizzled, again. Today I drove through the upper Verde Valley, which is north of me about 20 - 40 miles. It showed signs of one good rain, but it still looks parched. But getting close to the mountains it looks noticeably greener. Just boring clear sky at the first rally sign, Chino Valley. Second sign at the end of another stage. This is close to the Verde River, appears that barely a sprinkle has fallen here. The highest point of the rally stages on Mingus Mountain at the end of First View (the railroad cut in the distance fakes you out), Jerome is behind me. It's just grass that makes it greener. Sign outside of Jerome, to discourage people from going a few miles on rough road to find out it's CLOSED. Oh look a little cloud! 🙄 It's Noon now, 80ºF with a few little cottonball clouds. Driving up to Washington (in the Honda) to visit family, so I prolly won't be posting much. 1
bobss396 Posted Wednesday at 10:36 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:36 AM 62 F at 6 am, 82% humidity and cloudy. The pool is around 68... too cold to enjoy. I have to think about closing it sooner than later.
89AKurt Posted Thursday at 04:15 AM Posted Thursday at 04:15 AM I cloud watched on the drive from AZ to Idaho. It was windy, there were some lenticular type of clouds early, then the farther north I went it got cloudier. In Boise the wind kicked up, and just enough sprinkles to make cleaning the windshield a must in the morning. Picture is in Nevada. 3
