Just the opposite of this...  :P

My dogs did that this morning...stepped on the patio, put a couple paws in the snow, came back in.

The stories funny of the dogs and cats that are reacting to the cold and snow now. Years ago, we were living in Sacramento and if anyone is familiar with summers in Sac-a-tomatoes they know that it can get pretty hot and not just during the day as nighttime temps in the upper 90's is not an uncommon thing even at night. My wife went to let our Labrador out one afternoon since he was sitting in front of the back door giving her "that look" that he wanted to go out. He stepped halfway thru the door and stopped. Looked at my wife and I swore he was shaking his head and came back in and sat down on his bed. He held out for several more hours before he would venture out in the back yard to do his business.

After watching a jazz playing video on YouTube showing the inside of a coffee shop with books, falling night snow and a fireplace, I wished for a fireplace myself on this chilly willy of a day right about now.

I went to my girlfriend's in Miller Place, more snow out that way. We cooked and watched TV.

More boring clear skies and t-shirt weather for the Veterans Parade in Prescott, that is the Prescott Antique Auto Club's firetruck.  Depends on who, the forecast is possible snow by Friday (3 days) or at least a change in weather.  I plan on having a fire in the backyard firepit for that.  Maybe wash the car.

I posted too soon for today, clear sky meant I could see the Aurora space weather!  Lousy iPhone5 shot, saw nice pictures on Fakebook which got me to look.

Mid to high 70s today, clouds dissipated during the day, mixed with controlled burn smoke.  Harvested more purple and green rocks for the yard.

As I was driving this road, all I could think was what a killer rally stage this would be. 😏  Forecast for rain moved out, and reduced.

Check out these iridescent cirrus clouds I lucked out seeing yesterday, I did bump up the saturation, at zoom plus the ancient iPhone5 struggled to get the color.  It beat the sunset soon after.  As of Saturday afternoon, we got the first rain, not much, but the phone app didn't show anything today, again.  Still haven't used the gas furnace, or woodstove, just the sunroom.  Variable forecasts about rain for the next week.

It was suppose to be raining off and on in Boston this morning but the sun is winning out so I was able to get a few errands done before kicking back.

40s and breezy today...my landscaper blew all the leaves into big piles along the tree lawn on Friday, alas, it's been windy since then and many of the leaves are now against the house and garage.  I was out doing some leaf mulching this morning, putting away the cushions for the patio furniture, covering the air conditioners, getting ready for the inevitable winter...

Not a boring day so far.  Before sunup (no sunrise with color), the rays in the clouds.

The fan cloud over the hill:

The rainbow, which had moved during a couple hours.

About 50ºF and windy.  We need the rain!

I checked into Fakebook after my post above and posted those pictures.  Then thought it would be a nice day for a drive.  Depending which way you looked, it was raining.
