Picked up this early 40 assembled and going to build it as my take on the race version on the early box.  Engine is a two four Y block,will most likely be the last build for the season.

I did one of those as an asphalt modified. I think it turned out pretty good. It's that Lindberg car that comes in the Dodge semi-truck and flatbed trailer kit.

Good choice, Jeff. Basic black. I did one in satin black just to be different. I didn't have a hood so I just went without. A '40 is good any way you do it. 🥴

That black just makes it look like a moonshine runner to me.  I'm liking it Jeff.

The Ford Y-Block looks great under the hood. Maybe some mason jars in the trunk?

For a moonshine runner, wouldn't the radiator be in the trunk too?🥴

There might have been a few that did that with the fear that the revenuers might shoot out their radiator.

I suppose that only worked for a short time anyway.  Most of that stuff is just folk lore.
