junkyardjeff Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Picked up this early 40 assembled and going to build it as my take on the race version on the early box. Engine is a two four Y block, will most likely be the last build for the season. 3
customline Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Yaaaaay! Another '40! 😃 That body looks real nice, Jeff. The Y-block is a great choice for a drag car.
dwc43 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I did one of those as an asphalt modified. I think it turned out pretty good. It's that Lindberg car that comes in the Dodge semi-truck and flatbed trailer kit. 2 1
customline Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Good choice, Jeff. Basic black. I did one in satin black just to be different. I didn't have a hood so I just went without. A '40 is good any way you do it. 🥴
junkyardjeff Posted March 30 Author Posted March 30 The box art shows no bumpers but I did not want to cut the brackets off that old frame so it got the custom bumpers.
Zippi Posted March 30 Posted March 30 That black just makes it look like a moonshine runner to me. I'm liking it Jeff. 1
espo Posted March 30 Posted March 30 The Ford Y-Block looks great under the hood. Maybe some mason jars in the trunk? 1
