This is just super cool Pierre!  Patina, stance, disc wheels, it's all just so well done!  I love the plates you made covering the light housings and grill.  And as many others have said, it looks almost real with the Bonneville backgroud.  Awesome job!

Thank you sir, I am on a learning curve with patina effect but this sponge & sand technique looks pretty promising. I want to try this again in a not too distant future.

Ah Pierre, your weathering skills are without peer!!!

Looks great mate.

I think it was a bit of beginner's luck. I picked up the idea from another builder on the net and it worked out better than I thought possible. It does open up an avenue into new types of builds for me.

Though a deviation from your other builds, this one turned into a very convincing model, Pierre (Who thought otherwise ?) - I made some notes for future builds.

It could almost show up in a Mad Max movie....

Fantastic looking build, something that really makes your build so extra good is the black not only in the door gaps but also around the window frames.

Thank you friend, it is different but I like exploring new areas. First LSR'ish kind of build and first rat rod type paint. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks Ulf. I was fortunate to start with a body that was molded with crisp panel gaps. I just scribed them a little deeper and used a Vallejo wash to highlight the panel and window trim joints.

Great build. I love the photos of the model on the salt. Very well done in all respects.

I like them too. I just painted a 10x12 board to mimic the salt surface and used photos on my laptop screen as the background. Sometimes simple does work!
