I love the plates you made covering the light housings and grill. And as many others have said, it looks almost real with the Bonneville backgroud. Awesome job! Thank you sir, I am on a learning curve with patina effect but this sponge & sand technique looks pretty promising. I want to try this again in a not too distant future.

Dave B I think it was a bit of beginner's luck. I picked up the idea from another builder on the net and it worked out better than I thought possible. It does open up an avenue into new types of builds for me.
1959scudetto Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Though a deviation from your other builds, this one turned into a very convincing model, Pierre (Who thought otherwise ?) - I made some notes for future builds. It could almost show up in a Mad Max movie....
Ulf Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Fantastic looking build, something that really makes your build so extra good is the black not only in the door gaps but also around the window frames.
Phildaupho Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Great build. I love the photos of the model on the salt. Very well done in all respects.

I was fortunate to start with a body that was molded with crisp panel gaps. I just scribed them a little deeper and used a Vallejo wash to highlight the panel and window trim joints.
