Here's my version of the AMT 1970 Dodge Challenger in as close to F4 Green as I could get. I used Createx Pearl Lime with a few drops of Createx Opaque Black to darken the color. I used Createx 4053 High Gloss Clear and gave it the wet-sand, polish, and wax treatment. I used Bare Metal Foil for all of the trim, using the foil under paint technique for the Challenger side script. For the kit supplied separate vinyl top I just airbrushed on Apple Barrel English Ivy Green with a mixture of satin and matte clear.

For the interior I used embossing powder for the carpet and used Apple Barrel English Ivy Green for the seats, carpet, door panels, and dashboard. I just used multiple browns and a slight drybrush of black for the woodgrain. Kit decals were used for the gauges. I used a mixture of orange and red craft paint for the engine, and added spark plug wires and a coil for extra detail. I used Ammo by mig matte aluminum for the wheels, added valve stems foe added detail, and sanded the tire tread. A decent kit considering the age of the tooling, it was lacking a bit in details, but the overall fit was pretty good. I do have some update videos on my youtube channel for anybody that might be interested. As always, thanks for looking!

Great looking Challenger.  I have some MCW F4 lime green metallic here and have been hesitant to use it, but seeing how great yours has turned out has now inspired me to go forward with that color. Good job.

Your color choice is perfect and the build is very clean.  Nice work!

Great looking paint finish and color. The dash gauges and interior look very realistic. Nice cleanly done engine detailing.

Looks great.  Back around 2006-2007 I found one exactly like this one in Myrtle for $20,000.  Wish I had the money to buy it at the time.

A friend of mine just retired and he used to have a green Challenger T/A. I built a replica for a retirement gift.  I had the correct exterior color mixed by my local paint guy and used a different color craft paint for the interior. I love this color combo even if it was rather unique and lesser seen.
