I remember a topic about vintage glue collecting, but I cannot find it unfortunately so I thought I’d start a new one… I have a couple of old school tube glues that came with kits I acquired over the years. One is a tiny tube of Tamiya cement that came with some of their kits in the 80’s, and the other is Britfix, also likely from the 80’s, perhaps even 70’s, but I can only assume. Both are completely new and unused. I have no practical use for them, as I prefer more contemporary thin cements, but would be curious to know if there is any interest in these things as vintage collectibles and if they are of any value? I would also appreciate any precise info about the age and any other relevant facts on these. Thanks in advance!

Not sure of total value but I save all of the old tube glue that are in the old kits I purchase. Also old pIt bottles. That Britfix is a tube I have not see before. Only seen the little Tamyia in pictures.

Recently I got a kit with a partial Testors red/white tube in it... right into the trash.

The old yellow Revell tube glues were cool. We would talk grandma into giving up a hat pin as a stopper.

I should have saved old paint bottles but when my nephew came over I kept missing paint and he was stealing it. I would have liked some from when I was young. Cool stuff..

Here a while back I received one of those paint gift sets with the carousel for the small bottles of paint. The Testors set-up......... The date on the box says it's from the mid- 90s. It had a small tube of glue also, but I seem to have misplaced it. I did hang the plastic work mat on the wall so it wouldn't get ruined.....

When we were hard up... we rummaged through the kitchen junk drawer... Duco Cement!

It smelled awful... I don't think they make it any more. It came in a green tube.

That was our last resort if a toy broke. Decent adhesives were not out then. CA glue was still a long way into the future.
