Vent rough in done and space boxed in with styrene and a vent lid added. It rotates opened and closed on curved pieces through those slots.

Not sure about making it a functional moveable item though as would need a handle from under the dash🤔

I did an AMT '32 a couple years ago and make the cowl vent fixed. I added some brass screen to it, more bother than it was worth.

That’s funny, I was thinking to exactly do that

It would seem that an open vent without a screen would just invite bugs

I will paint that entire boxed in part of the vent black and then decide on a screen or not

Engine cowl’s thick styrene seam removed, firewall trimmed thinner and sanded to sit more flush, thin styrene flange added, side detail bead filled in, one door hinge removed, start of angled windshield supports. Rear window is already oval, I am not touching the door height.  These are the ‘30 to ‘32 mods.

What is the shiny firewall made of?

That was Bare Metal Foil chrome …which wasn’t too chromey.

I was just testing the firewall and people’s patience for inaccuracies. Likely will use something more mirror- like.

What about Revell chrome paint or a chrome paint pen?

The chrome spray would do it. I did a non-AG coupe and used aluminum sheet. It was not shiny like the real car was.

I have the Molotow pens and refill so that is an option.

But, They seem to have faded in their chrome with time in the pens. Also are very fragile to touch for quite some time when you use them.

Could you clear it with acrylic! Another idea is the mirror bottom in display cases in cases from Hobby Lobby and cut it with scissors it’s thin metal..

When you get around to the engine, I know that it can be hard to find the Man-A-Fre intake manifold with Rochester carbs.  I found a 3D printed manifold on eBay from 3DScaleparts, but I don't see it listed on their website.  You can try contacting them to see if they still offer it.  I also found a 3D file for the Rochester carb from the Cults3D website to try and print my own.

Hi Steve.
Yes, I found the Cults carbs’ stl file but not one for the man a free manifold.
I could buy a  finished resin engine  for another $28 USD with that manifold but would rather have the stl file so I can tweak the size to fit properly
