Brudda Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I just could not just sit and watch tv. Sanded the seams out of the body. Primed with tamiya primer. Sprayed the blue next. It’s an automotive toner, thinned out . Urethane automotive clear really thinned out. Shot thru a pasche single stage old airbrush. I think my 1/43 corvette is going to have some competition. 2

beeRS Posted Friday at 05:47 AM Posted Friday at 05:47 AM Very nice paint job. Those wire wheels are amazing considering it’s 1/43 scale. 1

Paint looks flawless Bruce Thank you Bruce. I find it very interesting that monogram put such effort in these kits … and it shows. The corvette I finished was one of the best model cars I have ever built. And I have built most. These are tamiya quality maybe better in some cases. I keep saying this, why they never caught on. I could understand here but Europe or Japan? These should have taken off.
Brudda Posted yesterday at 08:55 PM Author Posted yesterday at 08:55 PM Test fitting the frame. Meaning will all 4 tires hit the ground, well there was a slight twist to the frame . Took the twist out and now she sits flat on all fours. 1
Brudda Posted yesterday at 10:26 PM Author Posted yesterday at 10:26 PM Here she is interior tub in place. This is the stance of the car. This car is a little more finicky than the corvette. But a fun build. 1
