looking for some motor-head books to read without buying or unable to get through your inter-library loan system?

try eBooks from a digital service to which your library offers free membership.

my local one offers Hoopla & another which i forgot. but it's pretty much a common thing.

get a card, find your card, read a free book from home!

Another benefit is that some libraries have "Tech labs" with 3d printers that you can use for a fee. I have completed the on-line course for my library, but haven't benn in to print anything yet.

"Read"? What's "read"? And this "book" thing you speak of???

Oh now, come on. You know, that is what you do when you glance at an instruction sheet before throwing it away.

My son is dating a librarian. I'm impressed with the array of services they provide, including 3D printing. You need to go to your local one and ask.

I use the Free Libby AP which is connected to different libraries. I listen to Audio Books while I am building. I am not sure; I think you have to read books with a Kindle.

Good luck

Good to see that libraries in the 21 Century are keeping up with the current technological advancements.  I still have my local library card somewhere.

Is that card...as is my Social Security card...signed by a nine-year-old version of the current adult?

our library is doing its best to stay current. they have computer course as well as the "tech lab" you can use the computers in the lab for various things once you complete their courses. Even a midweek farmer's market!

Not quite.  It is actually a more modern plastic card.  I got that one when I moved in 1992. Still pretty old.  The town library back then was in a small single story building. Now it's a large modern multi-story building, while the original  structure is used as a town's tax collector office.  Also funny that you mentioned the SS card.  Just the other day I was looking at that card made of cardboard, with a signature that looks nothing like my current one. :)
