I’m sensing that square body GM’s are definitely trending strongly. I would love to see more love and attention given to them by kit makers.

It says 1:25 scale.  Is it a variation of the Stranger Things tooling, or just an old Monogram 1:24 mislabeled?

My apologies if this seems like a dumb question… I’ve only recently gotten into pickups, so am not familiar with the ins and outs of the various kits that have been run over the years.  :)

No it is not a vartion of the new Blazer tooling, its this snap kit just with the Grand Prix race car instead of the off road bikes.

Still not grasping why you need to transport a MGP car on a trailer. The MGP near me turned into a shopping center a LONG time ago.

To move them from track to track?

Revell was just getting use from tooling?

Not Sure Why, but Happy to see it come back.

You and me both! I would love to see some of the later years (83-87) offered, since 78-81 seem to be well represented.

Well, da_ _! I got excited over the square body for nothing then. Yet another 78-79 short bed (and a snap kit at that!). How about some 83-87 GMC & Chevies, or a Moebius (proper) version of the "Fall Guy" truck?? I would really love to build a replica of my 83 GMC.thumbnail_20180616_131726.jpg.75ef389dc8900cdb0033bed5803787d6.jpg

Looks like a great kit to introduce kids to the hobby with.

I remember building the earlier versions back in the late 1970's / early 1980's, and thoroughly enjoying them.

I have a 2007 Silvarado 4x4 Crew Cab. No Kit at all

1987 Toyota Camry. No Kit at all

2014 Toyota Sienna. No Kit at all.

So, while I feel your pain, at least you can cobble something together.

I'm out in the cold.

The original Revell Malibu Grand Prix combo kit (pictured above) was a personal favorite here.

In the earliest days of what became the NNL Nationals, we would include a visit to the 1/1 scale Malibu Grand Prix tracks as part of our NNLs, which were really entire weekend events with the model event as the center attraction, but other events like attending the Oakland and Portland Roadster shows and Detroit Cobo Autorama, visits to the famous old Ford Fiberglas parrs replica company in Oregon whose name escapes me, and yes, 1/1 scale "runoffs" at the lMalibu Grand Prix.  I recall us doing this at the Malibu tracks in Redwood City, CA (south of SFO) and Columbus, Ohio.

Just another tidbit of NNL lore that probably no one cares about today (laugh...smile)....TB
