Dave B Posted Friday at 01:38 AM Posted Friday at 01:38 AM (edited) First up a confession, this may never make it to Under Glass. I've had it for years and was inspired by Nico's Bonneville Streamliner. I'm building it as something a young guy in the early fifties could do, if he new a good panel man. Started with a model A frame, z'd, narrowed and shortened. Tri carb flathead running thru a quick change rear end. I have to be able to make the front end realistic so we'll see how it goes. All parts from my various spares boxes. It's really just a fill in while waiting to finish the Cheetah and get my head around the Zagato. Tks for looking. Dave B Edited Friday at 03:53 AM by Dave B 7
oldcarfan Posted Sunday at 01:33 AM Posted Sunday at 01:33 AM You're making a great start. These little kits really do make a great blank canvas. There's so much you can do with them. 1
Pierre Rivard Posted Sunday at 09:58 PM Posted Sunday at 09:58 PM I think these 1950's style streamliners are very very cool and sure hope Both Niko and you will keep us entertained and inspired with your builds. The bodies on these Hawk/Testors toys are really good and the opportunity to scratch build everything else must be hard to resist. 😃 1
Dave B Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago (edited) The good news is my Cheetah decals have arrived, the bad news is the young speed merchants have threatened to sack their designer, me, as the centre of gravity is too high with a z'd chassis for a Streamliner so I have already started planning an underslung tube chassis. More to follow. Dave BÂ Edited 22 hours ago by Dave B
