It used to be Payday bars. Can't touch that stuff any more; and wasn't a big chocolate eater before that anyway.

Root beer barrels, banana Turkish Taffy and Beemans gum as a kid. Frozen Milky Way bars when I got older. Nowadays, my wife keeps Sorbee Sugar Free hard candy in the candy dish that she buys online.

I really used to like Starburst and pretty much anything chocolate...Tootsie Rolls, 3 Musketeers, Snickers, Mounds, M&Ms, yeah baby...but I rarely eat much sugar these days other than the occasional entire cherry or key lime pie...

For chocolate candy, my all time favorite is “Ice Cubes”.

Candy bars? Probably Cadbury fruit and nut, and Mounds.

Hard candy is hard candy for the most part, but I suppose I’d go with Life Savers, pineapple or cherry being my favorites.

I guess I like Skittles for chewy candy.

These are pretty darn good too!

My wife’s favorite, hands down!

We always have a container on the coffee table.

I pretty well don't eat any sweets anymore.

Taste buds went on vacation about 2 years ago and haven't come back.

Best way to describe it is like being color blind. You can still see fine but you know part of the spectrum is missing so nothing looks "right". 

I've lost the "sweet" and "salty" part of the flavor spectrum.

I CAN still taste stuff but it's very "watered down", I guess you could say but some stuff is downright bad. 

Any carbonated drinks or made with soda water , all I taste is soda. Coke and Pepsi tastes to me like Murphy's Oil Soap smells and Sprite and 7-Up tastes like moldy books smell.

I know this sounds like a joke but I can't tell ice cream from sour cream now. [I know, one is cold ha ha]

I'd LOVE to have a banana split with caramel, strawberry and pineapple but ,,

Ice cream = sour cream

strawberry = very little flavor 

pineapple = little flavor, mostly just burn

caramel = just greasy texture, not much else

banana =  every banana, no matter how ripe and brown tastes like the greenest one possible right off the tree.

BUT, I have lost about 70 pounds , so, yea, yea for me 🙄

I've had a bunch of tests, they don't know what's going on with it. Docs speculate I may have had a super mild case of the covid but I didn't have as much as the sniffles for at least 6 months before this started.  They say there's nothing they can do for me.

Hard candy , Butterscotch is my favorite,  ice cream too.

Gum  , Wrigley's  Juicy Fruit 

Regular candy bars,  Twix .

As a kid I had a thing for chocolate  moon pies . But they changed their recipe and they don't taste like they use to ( or my tastebuds changed , ... they were good when I was 10 .)

 

Adult beverages,  Jim Beam Black label. 

( I only mention this because I use to go through it like it was candy .... ah , highschool ..)

Love a quality dark chocolate! Also chewy caramels.... Hard candies I like butterscotch.

Some of all time my favorite candies, were the homemade holiday treats the my mother used to make... Butter toffee, fudge, peanut brittle, almond chocolate dipped cherries. Good stuff!!!!

When I was a kid, I used to love the swedish made strawberry Broadway liquorice rolls until suddenly you could no longer get them, due to the dye used in them. I recently found a vendor selling a modern version online.... Unfortunately, they new stuff doesn't taste anywhere close to the original.

It's cool that some of you like licorice.... A lot of people don't! Right after Easter, the local 'dollar' stores have huge bags of jelly beans for cheap. You can get a whole bag of just black licorice jelly beans......

Mom does that most years. Things like melting Rolos onto pretzels, no-bake cookies......... The best thing she makes are Ritz crackers with peanut butter in them, then dipped in white chocolate!
