I just finished this one for a dear friend of mine. I asked him if he could build a car for my collection and his reply was only if you build one for mine! We got to pick what car we had to build for each other and this was his pick. This build was way out of my wheel house which is probably why he picked it. I hope he loves it because you all get to see it before he does!

Looks great! I'm mostly a Chevy guy but the '60 Ford Starliner is a beautiful car, I prefer it over the BelAirs of that period. The sculpted body lines, the fastback styling and thin roof pillars, horizontal fins, I think they should have carried those styling cues for several more years, your friend will be stoked!

wish it came on the AMT 61 Ford Galaxie.

Oh! ...but it did. Best of luck to you finding an affordable one...took me many a year to find this rebuilder.

A friend of mine grafted the roofline of the AMT 60 Starliner to a 61 Galaxie.

Starting at the top of the front roof behind the top window  trim, cut at the bottom of the C pillar trim to and along to the bottom rear window trim,  then curve to the trunk lines as a one piece cut/ graft. His version looked like a seamless transplant and created a a big time envy on my part!

Big bucks for a long shot Unicorn but just knowing you got something 99.9% of our fellow modelers don't have would make me right giddy....

Beautiful Starliner, really like that color. There was a '61 Starliner annual kit, and the '60 Starliner top works quite well on the '61 Galaxie.

Your Starliner looks great, your friend should be happy with that. I like what you did with the headlights, and the stance is perfect. Well done Scott. By the way, what has your friend built for you?

Beautiful paint finish and like the color. Clean body trim. Like how you detailed the chassis and engine. I remember when we used to use white VHT paint on our exhaust manifolds. This is a great basic kit and also built one based on a neighbor's car back when I was in high school.
