Some like it bright, other's don't. As I mentioned, to me highly reflective 1:1 chrome surface does not scale to duller less-bright finish just because it is in smaller scale.
Chariots of Fire Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Hey, Peter. I bought some of the FF chrome and it is really nice. The great part about it is that it can be brushed on so that it floods the area whereas Molotow and other pens are very restricted in the surface area they can cover. It appears to be very durable. Bright is ok with me. Certain details just cry out for a nice shiny surface. See you at CP!
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I tested it on these 3d printed wheels. The pictures don't show the true shine. I used the bottle's brush for all 3. The one on the left has the clear coat or varnish applied. The one on the right has a smudge from where I touched it a couple of hours after it was painted. The clear did dull the shine a bit, but I think it looks OK for a hubcap. I'll try Alclad clear and see what that looks like. So far I'm happy with this stuff.
WayfromSmoke Posted September 22 Posted September 22 This is with a brush over black primer (not the included brush👎🏻) smoothed the primer to 1000 grit and reapplied a couple times then went with it… we plan to try it with airbrush soon
Mark IV Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Just got some, this stuff rocks! Definitely shinier than the Molotow is and it does fill minor scratches, etc. And the price is nice. It looks like the bottle will outdate before I use it up at my build rate. 2
NOBLNG Posted October 10 Posted October 10 (edited) This is nice stuff! I did a test on a spare bumper just to see how it blends with kit chrome for repairs. I sanded off some of the original chrome: Then brushed on some FF: Edited October 10 by NOBLNG Crop photos 1
FoMoCo66 Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Not bad, would look even better if you faded it on with an airbrush.

I only check this category when I'm too lazy to be doing everything else that I need to be doing. Probably, I should check more often 🤔. I should go do something..... 1
