junkyardjeff Posted August 3 Posted August 3 This was in that big bunch of parts I got a couple years ago,at first I thought it was a modified AMT 34 Ford pickup but have found out it's a Lindbergh 32 Ford and are kind of crude. Going to see what I have that I can use and will start on it after I reassemble two more from that parts stash. 1
Quiet Eric Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Well kinda...I don't think I had as much of the kit to start with as you do. This was a long time ago. 5 1
Mark Posted August 3 Posted August 3 A fair amount of that kit is cribbed from the AMT '32 Ford coupe. I've got one, but was planning on tossing the chassis and using one from a Revell '32 Ford 3W coupe. I've got a few of those that I picked up for cheap, also a couple of sedan kits minus bodies. The modified '32 frame in the Revell '29 roadster/'30 coupe kits might be good kitbash material for this one too. 1
bobss396 Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I have one in my collection of BACK IN THE BOX!! specials. 1
stavanzer Posted August 6 Posted August 6 According to Scalemates-1961 was the original tooling date. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/lindberg-603-69-32-pick-up-rod--194971
Potaka Posted August 7 Posted August 7 It’s my first time seeing this. It looks really old, full of traces of history.
junkyardjeff Posted August 7 Author Posted August 7 Two more to finish before I can get to it,still do not know what engine to use but leaning towards the DeSoto hemi from the 53 F 100 kit.

Phirewriter Posted October 10 Posted October 10 This can be built into something nice. It's not mine but thought it was good reference for when I do build my kit. 3
alan barton Posted Thursday at 03:06 PM Posted Thursday at 03:06 PM Throw the Lindberg wheels and tyres as far as you can and replace them with something accurate and cool - I used AMT narrow whitewall Firestone Supremes with 56 Vicky wheel covers. Replace the dumb headlights with a bar built from a pin and some Revell 29 Roadster headlights ( I think). I probably should go back and swap out the exhaust stacks with something cleaner but there you go. It scrubs up OK if you de-Lindberg it! Cheers Alan 3
Sledsel Posted Thursday at 04:16 PM Posted Thursday at 04:16 PM I have one somewhere and planned on using the cab and various parts with the '34

Mr. Metallic Posted Friday at 04:02 PM Posted Friday at 04:02 PM Here's the one I built 15 (!) years ago. Virtually the only parts I used were the cab, interior and fenders. This was before i was bitten by the faux-vivor bug. I do have a vintage one molded in purple that I do plan to do in my polished plastic series. @Dave Darby Dave Darby did discuss this kit in one of his Vintage Workbench articles in this mag if you're looking for some build ideas 2
