Joe Lange Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Greetings all, While taking intermittent breaks from my '47 Crosley build, I decided to pull out all the Jo-Han/Rambler pieces and glue-bombs I have accumulated and try to put something together. This started as a '65 'promo' piece with a cracked rear window. Cut out the hood and trunk lids, cleaned off the 'flashing', and added the engine compartment panels from a Jo-Han 'Pro Street Rambler' glue-bomb. Also have the trunk interior for later. Got a couple of Rambler straight six, 232 engines. Thinking of building one with dual single barrel carbs for something different. Stay tuned! 9

ĆĄŢŜandBĄTŠ Posted September 12 Posted September 12 *pulls up a chair* Question. What's a glue-bomb? 1

A model that has so much glue it looks like the modeler blew up a glue tube on it. Also an older model that was previously owned by someone else and acquired for rehabilation or for parts. 1

When Modelhause was around i would go looking for glue booms at local shows you could get old 60's and 70's models that someone put together years ago and then go to modelhause and get every part you needed to rebuild it like new you could a buy a model for $3 to $10 dollars Modelhause had every part and anything that was chrome it came already chromed. dino246gt Posted September 13 Posted September 13 GLUE BOMB: Here's one I got to take apart and rebuild, built when it was new by someone who, as most of us did, used way too much glue! 2

Is this going to be more of a stock style build or something else?

Bainford Posted Friday at 02:44 AM Posted Friday at 02:44 AM Cool project. Colours look very nice. I hope the dual carb six is still in the plan. 1
Joe Lange Posted Saturday at 06:02 PM Author Posted Saturday at 06:02 PM Finished interior. Stock, except for steering wheel from SC/Rambler kit. 3
John M. Posted Saturday at 06:26 PM Posted Saturday at 06:26 PM Coming along nicely Joe. My own Johan Rambler that I bought as a nice built isn't as well detailed. It has the later restyled grill/headlight bezel
