I wasn't happy with the way my first build of this kit turned out. After disassembly and primer, it went back into the box for a few years as I was moving. Found it while looking for models to sell at a swap meet and thought some else could do something with it. Lot of lookers but no buyers even for $10. So, I'm taking a second swing at this one.

I've always loved the look of that orange box art hotrod. Gonne do one like that one day.😉

Be aware the fitment of the grill is disappointing if you are used to say a Revell type quality and the same can be said for the windshield mounting. But we are modelers after all so while it is a challenge you can beat into submission.

No worries David. I'm familiar with the kit. Built this one 19 years ago [😲] and I have one on the table right now with a resin sedan body.

But making things "work" is what hot rodding's about, right? 😉

Now that is just cool looking. I'm not copying your color but have already used Tamiya TS-18 Red Mt. over a pink primer base on mine. I like how you blended the roof on yours and you would never know that that was a separate part from the body. like the stance and the wheels. If I could own a 1:1 '36 I think this would be the look I would want.

I know this time it's gonna make you happy, David.  At least you don't need to scrape mold flash off everything!  🙂

Hi Jim. Ya no flash, but man getting all the old paint out of the nicks and crannies was no fun. I also didn't do a real good job of blending the roadster body parts as I may be able to do now. I have been tempted to put away again, but I have also made up my mind to finish this so and so kit once and for all. This is one of those things that haunts us all at some time.

Throw the box away, Dave.  That way, you gotta finish it 🥴.
