Ford Pro Stock or Pro Street Kits?

I have a '64 Galaxie body (from the Cal Drag combo kit) that I want to use as the basis for a Pro Street model.

Unfortunately, the tow car is a curbside and the only really usable part is the body.  I intend to build a tubular frame but I'm going to need a suitable engine/trans/rear end and ideally some suspension bits.

Can anyone recommend a 1:25 kit that I could swipe parts from?

I'd look at the Round2/AMT '69 Galaxie and the '67 Mustang AWB/Street Freak.

Both have Big (427?) engines, and some nice wheels. The May not be ProStock but could be a good parts source.

The Revell Lincoln LSC that was recently released would be a good candidate. It should have everything you need to build a Pro Street, including street tires. The chassis will be a bit short and probably narrow, but the mechanical bits will likely be good.

The Lincoln looks interesting.  I'll see if I can find some detail pictures of the drivetrain.

I'd really like a dual quad tunnel ram intake.  I see lots of them with blowers or Hilborn-style injectors.

For an engine, I'd look at 3D print items...lots of choices out there.

Chassis...think about starting with a NASCAR truck chassis (wide enough for an older full-size car), cut away all of the floor, and swap in a tubbed rear section from the biggest Pro Street chassis out there, like the '70 Coronet or '67 Chevelle.  The NASCAR truck front end uses tubular A-arms and will be beefy enough to look right under a big car.

You might take a look at the '80s Monogram Pro Stockers. They have big tubs, ans A-arm front suspensions. T-birds would have the big Fords with dual carbs.

Another kit to look at is the AMT 1960 Starliner. It is a bone stock kit but it is a highly detailed modern kit. Many people use the chassis/engine/floor pan from the 60 kit under the 64 body. If you decide you need any detailed chassis/engine/floor pan parts the 60 kits is the way to go.

I believe this is 40% off week at hobby lobby if you are close to one anyway. (Not sure how ordering from them works for the discount week.) The 67 Prostreet Chevelle jas nice tires and wheels and normaly in stock. Has a big block Chevy if thay is what you want. But Inalso agree with the bed printed engines from texas 3d customs or iceman collections. They both have awesome selection and products are top notch.

As it happens, I went to HL today and picked up a Mustang drag car for the suspension bits.  May or may not use the tires, need get to the mock-up stage to see what works.  I do have a "design your own" app that works with my 3D printer so may print some.

Also ordered a 572 dual quad from Texas 3D as I wasn't finding anything I wanted elsewhere.  

Finally, I ordered a "teardrop" hood "bulge" (scoop) as I imagine the tunnel ram isn't going to fit under the stock hood and I've always thought the teardrop scoops were dead sexy.

Diddo, planning on doing that with my 64 from the cal drag combo, most of the parts are laid out and ready. If you went this rout it would be super realistic and you could even put a pro street back half on it, It just wouldn't be the best for a super crazy build. If you want that I would go with the Lincoln kit.

 I agree 100% with this, by far my favorite hood for any Ford. I actually cut the teardrop off a 64 tbolt and grafted it onto an amt 63 galaxie hood for an ongoing 63 build, on the real car they are essentially the same piece of sheet metal.

Well, poop.

Opened the LX 5.0 drag kit and nothing from it will be usable.  Grotesquely out of scale with the Galaxie, almost like the LX is 1/32 instead of 1/25.

That'll be in the trade section.

Guess I'll bite the bullet and spring for the Lincoln kit.

The Mustang is 1/25 scale

The Lincoln won't be much bigger than the Mustang.  Its body is slightly shortened, cheated to fit a chassis designed for a T-Bird kit.
