Six Posted October 12 Author Posted October 12 Hummm, my written response disappeared?! Anyway, I finished this at 2am this morning...10-11-2025, so I could get it to the contest today in Hobart IN at the Moose Lodge. It placed 3rd in it's class. I started with a Revell 1930 Model A Ford Coupe. I added printed parts...a Boss 429 with fuel injection and a 4 speed top loader trans. Bomber seats, brass knuckle shifter, steering wheel, and artillery wheels and tires. All from MCV Products.ย I tried to weather it without being a dirty rust bucket. I need to learn weathering better coz I'm not that good at it.ย
XYHARRY Posted October 12 Posted October 12 That looks great Derrick, your soft weathering was a smart move. Congrats on your well deserved award.ย
NOBLNG Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Really great looking rat rod there Derrick!๐ I like the artillery wheels and that power plant is awesome!๐

Zippi Posted Thursday at 10:10 AM Posted Thursday at 10:10 AM That's a good looking Hot Rod right there Derrick.ย Nicely done man.
espo Posted Thursday at 09:23 PM Posted Thursday at 09:23 PM Great realistic looking body finishes inside and out. Like the Ford Boss 429 engine and its detailing.ย ย
alan barton Posted Thursday at 10:19 PM Posted Thursday at 10:19 PM For a first effort at weathering I would be quite happy with that result!ย The car has a really nice sense of realism about it, not always achieved with a rat rod!ย The brake liens are particularly nicely done. Cheers Alan
