ford fan Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Hi friends. I have completed this mk1 Escort Mexico. It is a resin transkit made by the German firm Scale Production, to be used with the Belkits rally Escort. As usual with SP products, it is stunning. The resin casting is very very fine & clean, a lot of optional parts are provided to allow you to build a basic Escort, a Mex, an RS2000 or even why not a Twin Cam. There are several steering wheels, several wheels, a full width front bumper, decals & even several gas caps ! The parts from the donor Escort adapt with little or no modifications. I used wide SP Ford 13" RS wheels for that sporting look. The paint is an authentic Ford Maize yellow from a touch up spray can. Thanks for looking ! 20
Kanada Kustoms Posted October 27 Posted October 27 (edited) Great build and cool subject... I like those cars! Edited October 27 by Kanada Kustoms
Bainford Posted October 28 Posted October 28 LOVE! IT! Very cool Escort. That's one sweet little Ford. Very nicely done. I need one of these. I recently bought the Belkits kit which I will build as a fast-road car, but I would really like to do one as a stock bodied car, too.
XYHARRY Posted October 28 Posted October 28 It's nice to see one of these classic Escorts built so cleanly. Really well done Bertrand.
STU111 Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Beautiful little Escort! They were potent little beasts with the twin cam engine. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻
espo Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Beautiful paint finish and black trim I like the color. I learned of this model of Ford while watching a few TV shows based in England. Still see some used in vintage Rallying on You-Tube. Like the wheels you used also.
ford fan Posted October 28 Author Posted October 28 A massive thank you to all of you my friends !!! Don't hesitate to buy this transkit, you won't be disappointed, it builds as easily as a standard styrene kit.
Bugatti Fan Posted Wednesday at 08:05 AM Posted Wednesday at 08:05 AM Absolutely lovely mode!. Brought back memories of when I owned a standard Mk1 many years ago.
