2WD long beds were the work horses but I think 4X4 and Regular Cab Short Bed 2WDs sell better. I'd like to see a the weird Extended cab in scale.

This generation of Chevy and GMC trucks did not have a factory extended cab version available. With the redesign in 1988, GM finally offered an extended cab version, years after Ford and Dodge had theirs.

I am well aware but I am interested in the aftermarket conversions that exist. That is why I worded it as weird. They cut down the bed and used that in making the extended cab.

I hit 5 Walmarts close to where I live in North Carolina and no kits at any of them.

Crew Cab would be cool but I've always been a fan of Extended cab trucks regardless of Ford, Dodge, or GM

I was told from the horses mouth, the guy who actually places the orders at my local Walmart that another model kit display box would show up nearer to Christmas. Today was the day. Nothing really jumped out at me and the few that did, I can score from HL on their 40% off weeks cheaper. I went home empty handed. Here's what was there.

I've checked periodically, and haven't found gotz in this (southwest Riverside County) area. 

I'm likely seeing the same results that you're seeing - not even a single listing for these 'exclusive' kits ; just regular $40-ish-dollars pricing .

Maybe I'll put on my big boys pants and head over to the local {{{ wince }}} Walmart some evening...

Last night I guilted myself for not picking up a couple of the kits in that Walmart display box (posted above) while there yesterday. You'd think I'd learned that lesson of grab it while you can already, Nope. So this morning I headed back and grabbed the Jeep CJ5 and the  Sundowner GMC pickup.. all is good now.

You should have grabbed one or two of those Sundowner kits and sold them on the "black market". Could have paid for your whole shopping trip. 😋

I ordered three tonight from the one local store that appears to have them in stock at this price.  We'll see what gets delivered (free shipping) tomorrow.  

Note - the website shows the "Deserter" box art but the price was still $19.97.  also, several of the kits had the "WM First to Market" language in the description 🤷‍♂️

I've found that listing but unfortunately none of my Local Walmarts have it so I can't order it. I'm pretty sure at this point the whole state of Ohio doesn't have this kit. On another note there's a guy who has just the decals on ebay for $80 plus shipping. Tried low ball offering him and of course the offer was immediately declined. Hopefully my local Walmarts get these because I am not paying the Ebay prices.

80 for just decals is bonkers. Slixx decals?  Are you guys looking at this?

Nothing surprises me on ebay anymore. From outrageous prices, sellers not responding to easy reasonable questions or the make an offer option only to find the seller will only take .50 cents off their asking price. 😡 why bother asking for offers?
