Bobchayer Posted November 11 Posted November 11 1912 Ford Model T Runabout. Wood 1/16 scale model I purchased with several others that needed restoration. It needed new springs, running gear, paint touch-up, and regluing loose parts. 12
Bainford Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Very nice old T. Is this model scratchbuilt or from a kit? How old do you suppose it is?
Bugatti Fan Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Lovely veteran classic build. Nice to see some stock old timer Model T' s being built instead of all the rodded versions.
Cosmic D Posted November 15 Posted November 15 I love working in 1/16 and I've never seen a wooden kit in this scale, let alone a good looking one. Do you think its a one off custom build or does it appear to have been from a kit?

How old do you suppose it is? It closely resembles a Hudson Miniatures 1910 Ford Model T Torpedo kit from 1949. The difference being a single seat in the rear instead of a gas tank and trunk. The rear fenders are not as curved as the 1910 model. This model was built many years ago. The builder did an excellent job of painting and soldering. Just now, comparing them side by side, I believe it is a 1910 model with the rear seat added, not a 1912. Note attachments. Edited Wednesday at 05:17 PM by Bobchayer 1

Fador Authentic Smallsters issued 9 wood 1/16-scale model kits at the same time. Look on eBay under Models and Hobbies. There are about 30 Hudson Miniatures and about a dozen Fador Smallsterss offered for sale right now. They all include plans, necessary wood, cast plastic or metal wheels, and necessary wire to complete the models. Some are relatively simple; some are really trying. All are worth the effort. I have all the Smallsters built and have five of the Hudson Miniatures to finish. Look at my other attachments for their photos. If you cannot find them, message me. Attached is a Smallster 1905 White Touring, a steam-driven vehicle in real life. Edited Wednesday at 09:11 PM by Bobchayer Correction
