falcon wagon Posted November 28 Posted November 28 When we started the K.I.S.S build earlier this year Over on T.R.A.K I had A box of 32 sedan parts this is the second one of the two. It has the Flathead from the 32 Coupe with chrome parts from the parts box, the wheels and tires are Modelhaus. Paint is Tamiya Clear Orange over Sliver the hub caps are from the 49 Ford kit. I might change the headlights . 9
Phildaupho Posted November 29 Posted November 29 You have really captured the traditional look from the days of the little page car mags. I really like it. 1
bill-e-boy Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Nice rod. Don't see full chassis depth channel very often - well done 1
XYHARRY Posted yesterday at 04:03 AM Posted yesterday at 04:03 AM Very nice channeled 32 and the colour looks great. Well done Carl. 1
Alan Barton Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago That reminds me of Dave Stuckey's 32 Tudor on the cover of Car Craft magazine - the car that later became the Lil Coffin. Your intention, perhaps? It definitely captures the spirit of an early sixties hot rod. The really cool thing about channelling the AMT body is that the odd proportions of the original kit really lend themselves to a channel. If the lower edge of the body had been designed correctly by AMT, it would have taken more work to make it sit down low like this. Kudos for making lemonade from lemons! Cheers Alan
bisc63 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Beautiful color choice, clean design, perfect stance, sharp wheels...the best recipe to follow! Keep the headlights; they give it a personality that makes it unique. Why follow the pack when you can lead?!
