This is the new issue Revell 70 Challenger. I custom mixed some cream and white lacquer and cleared it with Omni Urethane clear. The side stripe decals are from Fred Cady and the engine compartment decals are Last Detail ones. This is the first model that I have finished in a long time (I've started plenty). It was a fun "slump buster".

James,

Great job on that new Revell kit !!!! I also really like that color combination.

That's my method too for recharging the batteries. Find an easy kit and just build it !!!

that is indeed a very nice model

i like the interior exterior colour combination

what kit exactly is this ?

i was looking all over heck to find one with that hood last winter to build one for my father in law

i ended up using the johnny lightning version and had to turn the ragtop into a smooth hardtop to make it fit my needs

funny thing, this one actually came with the stripe you have, only in black and white :D

Great looking ride James...

I too approve of your choice of colouring....gives a great result without being over the top. Excellent !

Eelco, I believe James used the "new" Revell 70 Challenger 2 in 1 kit. Can be built T/A or R/T...2 motor options, 2 hood options......

Long awaited kit, which obviously builds up nicely......but I just can't get passed the slab sides and metal axles.....but that's my problem..... :P

cheers

see, i never got why people hate metal axles that much

true, it does not always look the nicest but i personally think the trade of for easy of changing rims is worth it

at any rate, when did this kit come out ?

i looked high and low for ANY chally with that hood and all i found was the JL kit

Very nice indeed. I think everyone needs one every once in a while. I think I might have to get that kit. I notice it still has the TA chin spoilers (a plus for me). Great job as usual.
