Harry P. Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Ok, what do you think? Real or model? The answer: REAL!
george 53 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Moanin Harry! I'm goin wit Da REAL THANG!!! Oh Yeahhhh!!!!
envious8420 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Wow! I'm up with the birds this morning. Morning all, I gotta say model. Have a great day!!
FujimiLover Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 MODEL! Look's like one of those I've seen at some big truckers gas-stations that sell toy cars.
Guest promodmerc Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Going model on this one. I'm with Pete on the chrome.
Clay Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Something tells me its a big scale diecast. So I pick Model.
PlasticWagens Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 My first impression was diecast because immediately it looks like it. However the more I look at it I believe it is real. Turned wheels, interior all give me the real feeling. Kind of felt as if it was too easy if it was diecast.
mr moto Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 This is a real good one! My first impression was absolutely "model" but after looking closely I changed my mind and voted "real". It's the glass that convinced me.
67PontiacGTO Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I say its real. I think I have seen this car some where before. If its a model it is a darn good one!! Clutch
Joe Handley Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 (edited) Real, I'll post why it's real on friday or saturday I will say this though, that backdrop and lighting really throws off the look of that shade of orange that this Desoto is painted Edited July 16, 2009 by Joe Handley
garryrenfro Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Real, I'll post why it's real on friday or saturday:p I will say this though, that backdrop and lighting really throws off the look of that shade of orange that this Desoto is painted;) I agree with Joe. I think we been drinkin' at the same bar.
The Red Ranger Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I have to go with Model. If someone was building this in real life no way they would shave the hood and such but leave the door handles. I know that's a weird thing to notice, but not only does the handle not look right for a 1:1, I refuse to believe someone would customize a car that much and not shave the doors too.
Joe Handley Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 (edited) I agree with Joe. I think we been drinkin' at the same bar. Or readin' the same magazine I have to go with Model. If someone was building this in real life no way they would shave the hood and such but leave the door handles. I know that's a weird thing to notice, but not only does the handle not look right for a 1:1, I refuse to believe someone would customize a car that much and not shave the doors too. IIRC, the guy left the handles because he really liked the way they looked Edited July 16, 2009 by Joe Handley

envious8420 Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 (edited) The grilles dont fit correctly, theres a big gap on one corner. its a tough call harry. Edited July 17, 2009 by envious8420
cosmiccadillac Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 (edited) I'm thinkin thats a model, but I might be thinkin wrong... First gut instinct told me it was a model, then I looked closer and was tempted to vote real, but I still say model... Edited July 17, 2009 by cosmiccadillac
Joe Handley Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 The grilles dont fit correctly, theres a big gap on one corner. its a tough call harry. I checked some other reference material on this car, it's probably the reflection of the right front headlight extension of you're looking at the top right corner of the passengerside grill insert.
