Len Geisler Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I can't explain this... I am with Brian, I kinda like it......
BigGary Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 (edited) Someone once said "There is no accounting for taste". It seems to fit here. Someone also said "a camel is a horse designed by a committee." I think that it looks like something designed by a committee and they used everybody's ideas. By the way, this thing was dated the moment it was finished. Gary Edited August 28, 2009 by BigGary
Jairus Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I kinda like it Yeah, me too! Seriously, it's kind of neat. Biggest problem is the pink of course. Lime green with dark green flames. Purple with green flames would be better. But as a "balls-out" - bad to the bone hot rod... I see nothing wrong with it. Screams: LOOK AT ME!
camaroman Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I thought it was a Restored relic from those crazy dayz of old.... not my cup of joe but like my ol' daddy usta say..."it's hiz, love it or hate it, it's hiz" and I, for one, am glad it ain't mine....

Does the phrase "Train wreck of cliches" mean anything to you?
Cornpatch Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Maybe that car was designed for the next Mary Kay Cosmetics top seller. It fits right in beings that its pink in color. The flames and big motor will just help get the make-up to the customers faster. Jeff
Rob Hall Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I thought it was a Restored relic from those crazy dayz of old.... Interesting..so this was built relatively recently? I thought it was from the early '60s..has kind of all the excess cliches of that era of customs. (then again, I'm pretty clueless on customs, just not my thing).
krow Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Would I own it? Probably not. But it's kind of like one of those reallllllly ugly little dogs some people have. It's just so messed up on so many levels that it's kinda cool. I wouldn't have done *Barbie Pink Pearl* with *"Glad to be aLime" pearl* flames, but the body work is kinda cool in a fugly, finky way. It looks like a kid that had a whole boatload of AMT customizing parts from 60's annuals left over built his dream car from when he was 14, just 40 or 50 years later in steel. You do have to admit, it will snap heads around, it's just that some of them will continue through a 360 degree rotation a few times...
Raul_Perez Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 The real question for me, Harry, is "can you fix it with PhotoShop?"
showrodfreak Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Hummmm maybe a Pearl white with gold flames. Less engine. I like this too !!! and I'm on meds. LOL don v
purplehornies Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Two thoughts come to mind : "Just because you can dosen't mean you should" "To much money, Not enough brains"
Foxer Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 (edited) Actually, it reminds me of the SMP 3 'n 1 kits, with all those crazy "custom" parts. Kids would glue all that junk on, not because it looked good, but perhaps because 'it was there.' Wretched excess! Just like an old Roth or Barris creation. aha.. I KNEW it reminded me of something! think of this in pink ..... Edited August 28, 2009 by Foxer
george 53 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Led, you know you got off on the Flintstone mobile!!!
B-dub Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I really like it.. not so much the paint but I do like it
jbwelda Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 i like it too. as those things go. id rather this than another shoebox cheby
Joe Handley Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I saw this one in person at the World of Wheels in Chicago this past January, it's.......different and took a boat load of work, but just not my cup of tea (with or without the LSD chaser.) Maybe had it not been based on a pickup cab and the engine sat lower than the cowl, then I would probably feel different about it.
James Flowers Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Looks like a lot of the old models of the late 50's or early 60's. The model magazines were full of those one off customs back then.
20PSI Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 WHAT THE #### IS THAT? ITS ONE OF THE WORST ABOMINATIONS OF MANKIND.... YUCK
Jantrix Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Love it or hate it, you gotta admit it is the embodiment of one of the best rules of hot rodding. Build what YOU want and screw everyone who doesn't like it.
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 AAAHHHH! That is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. YUCK!
redrod99 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 ONE MUST ADMIRE SOMEONE WHO MARCHES TO A DIFFERENT DRUMMER!!!
FujimiLover Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Anybody ever think that with those color's it could be a woman's car? Us real-men wouldn't paint our car's like that! I bet it would be kick-azz in black with real flame-job!
Harry P. Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 ...you either get it or you don't. Dave Do you get these?
