Someone once said "There is no accounting for taste". It seems to fit here. Someone also said "a camel is a horse designed by a committee." I think that it looks like something designed by a committee and they used everybody's ideas.

By the way, this thing was dated the moment it was finished.

I kinda like it ;)

Yeah, me too!

Seriously, it's kind of neat. Biggest problem is the pink of course. Lime green with dark green flames. Purple with green flames would be better. But as a "balls-out" - bad to the bone hot rod... I see nothing wrong with it.

Does the phrase "Train wreck of cliches" mean anything to you? ;)

:lol::lol:

Maybe that car was designed for the next Mary Kay Cosmetics top seller. It fits right in beings that its pink in color. The flames and big motor will just help get the make-up to the customers faster.

Interesting..so this was built relatively recently? I thought it was from the early '60s..has kind of all the excess cliches of that era of customs. (then again, I'm pretty clueless on customs, just not my thing).

:blink:

Would I own it? Probably not. But it's kind of like one of those reallllllly ugly little dogs some people have. It's just so messed up on so many levels that it's kinda cool. I wouldn't have done *Barbie Pink Pearl* with *"Glad to be aLime" pearl* flames, but the body work is kinda cool in a fugly, finky way. It looks like a kid that had a whole boatload of AMT customizing parts from 60's annuals left over built his dream car from when he was 14, just 40 or 50 years later in steel. You do have to admit, it will snap heads around, it's just that some of them will continue through a 360 degree rotation a few times... :lol:

Actually, it reminds me of the SMP 3 'n 1 kits, with all those crazy "custom" parts. Kids would glue all that junk on, not because it looked good, but perhaps because 'it was there.'

Wretched excess! Just like an old Roth or Barris creation.

aha.. I KNEW it reminded me of something! think of this in pink .....

I saw this one in person at the World of Wheels in Chicago this past January, it's.......different and took a boat load of work, but just not my cup of tea (with or without the LSD chaser.) Maybe had it not been based on a pickup cab and the engine sat lower than the cowl, then I would probably feel different about it.

Love it or hate it, you gotta admit it is the embodiment of one of the best rules of hot rodding. Build what YOU want and screw everyone who doesn't like it. ;)

Anybody ever think that with those color's it could be a woman's car?

Us real-men wouldn't paint our car's like that!

I bet it would be kick-azz in black with real flame-job!
