Len Carsner Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Sorry to keep teasing you, but a little mystery mixed with anticipation can be a good thing, right? Anyway, starting next week Bill and I will be reviewing and building this upcoming new release in much the same way we did the Chevy 150 sedans and the AMT and Revell Challengers. This build will be spread out over the next 4-5 weeks, so keep checking back or subscribe to this thread to watch the build up and get our honest opinion as we go along. Len C.
Zoom Zoom Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I can see that rear bumper quite clearly Looking forward to seeing them! Can't wait to bend Bill's ear about the kit in a week when he's in Atlanta.
MrObsessive Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Aaaahhh! I can see the rear bumper too! I'm hoping this one will have a couple options-------I'll hold off on questions until they get rolling on it
LVZ2881 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I'm drooling over the release of that kit!! although, both my wife and my debit card are not looking forward too it!! cant wait for the builds Len!!
george 53 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Ok, so it's the Olds, big deal! we already have that style with the old Jo Han kit, not much excitement for ME there, sorry! Now if ya had shown the 66 Impala, THAT woulda got my ol juices ta flowin! Not that it won't be a nice kit, mind you, it HAS to be an improvement over Johans kit, BUT I WAS lookin forward to the Impala. Sorry I'm not as excited as I COULDAVE been, but I KNOW you guy's 'll build the livin heck outta it, just like you always do. I'll be lookin forward to it.(the build that is) Ok,Ok, I AM glad ta see it, And I'll probly get about 3 of 'em(my usual amount)BUT I STILL woulda liked to seen the Impala!
Guest promodmerc Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I'm quite thrilled. My parents bought a 1969 Cutlass Convertable brand new in 1969. They had it for close to 20 years. I know it's not the same year but pretty darn close.
jbwelda Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 oh i thought it was going to be something interesting, not some old man moldsmobile!

Patience, my friend, patience. The 66 Impala will be here soon I'm sure (no, I don't have any insider info so don't ask) but in the mean time let's enjoy what we have on the table now, shall we?
george 53 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 And enjoy it I shall,Len. You guys ALWAYS do a killer job with your build-ups!!! I'm looking forward to it!
Rob Hall Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Ok, so it's the Olds, big deal! we already have that style with the old Jo Han kit, not much excitement for ME there, sorry! Umm, the Johan was a fastback 38 years ago. I'm looking forward to watching this build up....got 2 of them so far on preorder..
Rob Hall Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 my original Johan 442 was slated for an AMT 442 chassis and interior upgrade, now i think i'll wait. Dave Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same thing w/ one or more of mine. I've got 5 of the '80s issue Johan '70 kits and Modelhaus parts, plan to do '71 and '72 versions along w/ a Rally 350 (got the decals) and W-30 eventually. Good thing I held off on getting the Modelhaus convertible. Rob
