Billy Kingsley Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 The Mustang is a brand new tool, coming sometime in 2007 or maybe even later this month. There will be others in the series too...
Matt T. Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Yes, that's a planned AMT '07 release. The 3 kits in your list called "Full Throttle" will be Foose 2n1s. The other kits listed are regular AMT '07 release plans. It's gonna be a good year (again)!
crispy Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Everything but the 71 mercury. Look for the release list in Model Cars magazine. Chris
Drago Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 Well, good news! I hope see these models in the stores pretty soon!!! At least, Full Throttle & AMT didn’t announce the Butterscorched pickup!!!! To me, it will be a disaster!!!! I'm working on it!!! Foose rules!!!! 8) New WIP topic coming soon!

Jantrix Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I'm not sure any of that saw the light of day. I think the whole AMT self-destruction nixed it.
charlie8575 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I know the '58 Chevy was re-released. I'm not sure about the other kits, though. Charlie Larkin
george 53 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 WAIT! I thought I saw a 70 Plymouth Cuda in the Full Throttle series! Is at mean were gonna get the Old MPC Cuda back????? THAT would be GREAT!!! I WON'T hold my breath on ANY of these but it WOULD be nice if we COULD FINALLY get an ACCURATE 70 Cuda! I got about 3 AAR's just waitin to donate parts for one!!!! Oh that WOULD be nice!
Zoom Zoom Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 The joys of people opening up 3 year old threads. The Full Throttle kits were all smoke and mirrors. Nothing happened. The Foose craze seems to have waned. In other words, I hope nobody is getting any of their hopes up. The hobby show is coming up soon. There will likely be some new models shown that are close to or in production. I'm sure there will be some new models announced. I'm also sure some of them will be delayed by indeterminate amounts of time, and I'm also sure some of them will never see the light of day. Lather, rinse, repeat. With Japanese/German hobby shows, I can get excited over new model announcements because they are real...the models are already well along the way. US companies have spent too many years using hobby shows to drum up business and generate budgets. I'm tired of lists of models that never see the light of day, or that get continually delayed. Until I see a test shot, I fail to get excited. It's just easier that way
george 53 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 WoW Bob, thanks for tellin us!! I DIDN'T even LOOK at the date! Guess I should pay more attention to the dates,eh?? Oh well, I THOUGHT that Cuda was TOOOO good ta be true!
gasman Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Revell has seemed to have gotten that idea. remember when the 1969 Nova was announced. they had two build ups to show the day it was announced. and build ups of the 72 Cutlass hit the show circuit a few weeks after Revell announced it. same goes with the new 57 Bel Air kit (NOT the 150). they had a test shot the day it was announced. I'm sure in two weeks we'll know what the future holds for Revell and AMT
gasman Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 A lot of modelers have never gotten over the AMT '49 Olds/'51 Stude debacle. personally I don't think the 49 Olds or the 51 Stude kits would have been good sellers at all. sure the hobbiest would have bought them up in the beginning. but the mass market appeal to the weekend modeler is not all that great. better bets would be a new tool of something a little more safe. like AMT did the 58 Plymouth.
Zoom Zoom Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 A lot of modelers have never gotten over the AMT '49 Olds/'51 Stude debacle. While I don't miss either one of those a bit (historically those kind of offbeat antiques done by Revell in the past 10-15 years or so have been much anticipated but not great sellers, and I like to think I could list out a number of other subjects that would sell much better), I am bummed by kits like the Revell '62 Corvette being killed, ditto their full-detail tuner CRX, the Polar Lights Waldorf Corvette Nomad & 2005 Mustang CV's being dropped, AMT dropping the Bentley Continental GT and the Foose models...it's happened so many times that I just don't have faith in any announcement being real until I see a test shot or kits on the shelves. Revell Germany, Fujimi, Aoshima, Tamiya all have been good at announcing a new model, and then showing progress on their websites. Photos of test shots, photos of the finished models, before they hit the shelves. Why can't Revell USA and Lindberg do the same? Their websites are nearly useless. In this day and age, having a lame website is not a good business decision. All they have to do is look at the examples I cited above, and perhaps they might get a clue that it's a good thing to drum up a little bit of "buzz" on upcoming products, instead of leaving everyone hanging in a vacuum of zero information. Put up a few photos, have someone keep a blog, have a Facebook page...that's how to do business these days. It's not 1995 anymore.
gasman Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Polar Lights cancelling the 05 Mustang CV kits was a huge disapointment. They cancelled them like a day after they announced them too.
Harry P. Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Nothing happened. The Foose craze seems to have waned. Finally!
Chuck Most Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I can't believe press releases and threads STILL get some folks all hot and bothered! Sheesh- I don't even get excited when I see test shots anymore. Thank Revell and their supposed '87 Cutlass Supreme kit that still ain't out yet for that. Of course, the fact that I've have been, am, and forever will be a pessimistic (expletive deleted) probably helps !

Some of these did hit the streets though I know of only two I have/saw. The Daytona and Firebird with the JL car did come out. I got a couple of each on closeout for $5 each about a year ago. Both of these appeared to be re-issues. Unfortunately, none of the cool ones made it... I have to agree with most of you. If a company says it will produce an item, it should do it's best to follow through. BTW, the Daytona kits did not appear to be very thought out. The nose was a multi-piece assembly for the body and the custom rear wheels were super deep and way too wide for the provided tires. I'm sure there's more issues with it but that was my initial inspection...
