bluemoose Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Here's one I just finished. I painted it with Tamiya gloss aluminum (TS-17) and cleared it with Tamiya TS-13, then polished with Tamiya fine finish polish.
Modlbldr Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 That is beautiful. The work is simply flawless and it DOES look real. Nice work, Moose. Later-

bluemoose Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 i have a question, um..., was there any building problems with that kit? i want to get one some time, lol. thank you! Thanks! no problems whatsoever with the kit. Actually, it goes together as good as or better than anything I've ever built. There's a lot of detail, so it's a fairly slow build.
Crusader101 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 That is truly stunning!! Beautiful build!

chris coller Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 That is a slick ride. You should be proud.
MonoPed Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Very nice work, as usual Couldn't have said it better!
Raul_Perez Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I vote "real", too!! Awesome build!! Later,
Randy Kern Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 A beautiful build of a cool exotic Porsche. An unusual choice of color with the aluminum, but it gives it a neat 'toned down' kind of silver look. Sanitary clean!
crispy Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Nice work Moose. My favorite Porsche. I've got a couple of these in que. Great build, color and photography. Chris
kyledr330 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I'm gonna have to go with the majority here, and say real. Outstanding craftsmanship!
Jon Cole Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Thanks for posting that Tom. I miss your builds from the other board
beefheart22 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 You can't pass off a 1:1 as a model! Seriously though, that is FANTASTIC!
John Teresi Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Man.....talk about show room build.....Very very nice.
Stang67 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Excellent Job!! What did you do the wheels with? Thanks.
bluemoose Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Excellent Job!! What did you do the wheels with? Thanks. Thanks! that's the way the wheels come with the kit, kind of a frosted chrome look. The kit instructions call for the lock nuts to be painted clear blue on the right side and clear red on the left side.
simonr Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Very, Very, Very, nice!...Porsche..there's no substitute! Simón P. Rivera Torres
Stang67 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Thanks.I'm just drulling all over the screen! It's one of my grails. I like the mellow look on the alum. I found out if you use semi-clear and buff the hi shine it will look like that. Cheers
george 53 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I vote real. Wait, What? oh.. Wrong Forum. Incredible! Holy Smokes! Yeah I agree! That first pictures good enough for RoM! Beautiful, build absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
