Now that's one I didn't know about. I believe it was sold in the US as a Kadett GT.

Nope, I had one. The Kadett was earlier than the Manta. It was called a Manta in the states too.

Jaguar (Bertone) Pirana, but that was also a show car.

Porsche Cayman

The Porsche Cayman was named after a Caiman crocodilus, which isn't really a fish.

I actually thought it was named after the islands where their owners launder their drug money. But I stand corrected.

That model of the LUV pickup was the Mikado. Maybe a Japanese fighting fish? B)

The Mikado was the emperor of Japan. I did find a reference to a fish. Mikado is also the name for the Mantis Shrimp! Ding!Ding!Ding! Fish connection. I love Wikipedia!

Monteverdi Hai - 'Hai' is German for 'shark'. And yes, the car was deliberately named 'shark'.

Leyland Octopus - ok, its a lorry. And I'm not sure whether an octopus is a fish.

More a bizarre coincidence than anything else, but--Scamp. It's a variety of the grouper, and an upscale Plymouth Valiant, if I remember correctly. I doubt it's a connection the creative guys at Chrysler Corporation ever made...

How bout cars that just look like fish.

Well if you are going to go that way, I always felt that the Mercedes McLaren SLR looked like a catfish!
